About Voice & Space

Our mission is to create a safe, non-judgmental community where people affected by mental illness find clear direction, professional support and a voice to share their story.

Born out of a simple, powerful truth

Too many people suffer in silence — confused about where to go, who to talk to, or how to get help.

I have seen first-hand how mental illness can feel like a heavy burden — a yoke holding you down — and how life-changing it is when someone points you in the right direction, gives you space to speak, and reminds you that you are not alone. Rooted in the promise of Isaiah 10:27, where burdens are lifted and chains broken, we built this space to be exactly that: a place where you can lay down your load, find your voice, and step into freedom.

We are inclusive — open to all backgrounds, beliefs and experiences. We believe every person deserves to be heard, understood and supported.

Is counselling free?
We offer low-cost and subsidised sessions for students, those on low incomes and anyone facing financial hardship. We never turn anyone away due to financial difficulty — just reach out and we will find a way to help.
Will my story be safe?
Absolutely. You approve everything before it is published and you can remain fully anonymous. You can also remove your story at any time. We take your privacy with the utmost seriousness.
Can I talk to someone right now?
If you need urgent help, please call Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7) or 999. For non-urgent questions, we reply within 24 hours — just use the contact form above or email hello@voiceandspace.com.
Are your counsellors qualified?
Yes. All our counsellors are fully accredited members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), registered, insured and trained to the highest UK professional standards.
